UbU Clothing Privacy Policy

Your information will NEVER be shared with any third parties without your prior specific consent – it’s that simple!

Information We Collect

We request your postal address on-line in order to fulfill your orders. Also, to reward the loyalty of local merchants who carry UbU styles in stores near you, we use your ZIP code to determine if there’s a UbU merchant where you live – and if so, a percentage of the proceeds of on-line sales will go to the local merchant. We do not share your personal data with these local merchants, or any other party, unless you specifically opt-in to our marketing programs.

Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers on-line will only receive telephone contact from us with information regarding orders they have placed on-line. Telephone numbers are also used to permit delivery of merchandise.

Email addresses are only used to send news and special offers, and are kept strictly confidential. We will not share your e-mail address or other personal information with anyone outside of UbU Clothing.

For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes only the consumer’s domain name, but not the e-mail address. We collect aggregate, as well as user-specific, information on what pages consumers access or visit, information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations, etc.

The information we collect is used to fulfill orders, improve the content and layout of our Web site, and provide better service to you and all of our customers.

Cookies and Activity Tracking

Cookies are small text files that are created by websites and stored on your computer. Our shopping cart uses cookies for 2 main reasons. Firstly, to identify if you’re an existing UbU Clothing customer (so that you need not enter all your details when you place your order), and secondly to keep your cart details when you move from page to page within the site. They’re just like sticking a post-it note on your pc, telling the web site things like “I’m Jill Smith, and I’ve got a Paisley Earth Jacket in my basket.” When you actually place an order, the cart cookie is no longer relevant and is deleted.

A cookie can only be read by the same site that originally created it, so no other sites can read your UbU Clothing cookies, and we can’t read any cookies that you’ve got from other places.

Ad Servers

We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.

Opt-IN Policy

Persons may opt-in to receive news, special offers and promotions from UbU Clothing Co. either by opt-in at checkout, or by entering their e-mail address on the site. Our mailing list will be kept strictly confidential; we will not share your e-mail address or other personal information with anyone outside of UbU Clothing Co.

Access to Information

Upon request we provide site visitors with access to a description of information that we maintain about them. Consumers can access this information or have this information corrected by contacting us through our Contact form or by writing to us at our Corporate Offices.

Information Security

When we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information including financial information, we redirect visitors to a secure e-commerce server. In addition, we have instituted physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and protect the information we collect online, and demand the same from our e-commerce, hosting and transaction processing partners. We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.

All of your personal and payment information is secured by VeriSign.

Privacy Policy Updates

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will contact you before we use your data for these new purposes to notify you of the policy change and to provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses.

Any changes to our Privacy Policies will be posted on our website.
